This article is part of the Masters course of research in Postgraduate Education, Education Center, Federal University of Pernambuco (BRAZIL). The study was based on two arguments: on one hand, the current Rural Education in the Brazilian context of the 80's, comes as a result of mobilization of peasant peoples in the struggle to overcome their historical context, in the fight to overcome their historical condition of silenced and subalternized people. On the other hand, an Intercultural Education is weaved in the scenery of the fights of Amerindian people aiming to dismystify and disnaturalize the racialization and the rationalization of the modern society, that had as one of its devilish effects the silencing and subalternization of the colonized people. Before this context, we aimed to weave the political and pedagogical approaches between the Intercultural Education and current Rural Education. This work has as theoretical approach the Latin-American post-colonial studies (GROSFOGUEL, 2007; QUIJANO, 2005), that explain the social reality from the relations of power structured in the racialization and rationalization of society, questioning the cultural and ideological processes that favor the subalternization of the capitalist world-system. In order to do this work we carried out a bibliographical study based on Content Analysis (BARDIN, 2008) of two analytical categories: Intercultural Education (SARTORELO, 2009; CANDAU, 2009) and current Rural Education (ARROYO, 2004; CALDART , 2004; SOUZA, 2008; ANTUNES-ROCHA, 2009).  The political and pedagogical approaches between the Intercultural Education and current Rural Education, occur at the origin and constitute the educational proposal that presents the different sociocultural contexts, raising questions about the many certainties and assumptions of a dominant theoretical whole. And they, characterize when they take the education as a tool of fight in the construction of knowledge in society.
