Inequalities in Choice of Educational Field: Motivations and Consequences

This session invites papers that explore the significance of educational fields for social stratification and inequalities (social, as well as gendered and ethnic inequalities). Both studies of differentiated patterns and motives for choices of educational fields, and studies of consequences of such choices (e.g. on the labour market) are welcome. Both empirical and theoretical explorations are of interest.
