413.2 The determinants of discrimination: Analyzing social capital and socioeconomic status in Minas Gerais state

Through Survey applied in main cities in State of Minas Gerais, Brasil, in 2005 year, sought identify the determinants of discrimination, in the other words, what factors increasing   the probability of person has been treated with lower respect for the others. We use factorial analyses and linear regress. The findings show the main influence of the income.  When more elevated is the income, lower the probability of has been disrespected. Social Capital produces few significant effects, as well as, years of formal education. Skin color don’t have statistic significant, yet reduces the power of explication of modeling. To be men and young increases the chances of to feel discriminated.  Participation of entities and associations specifies produces different effects.
