Institutional Ethnography: Global and Local Applications Across Educational Contexts

Abstract Submissions Closed

TG06 Institutional Ethnography (host committee)

Language: English

This session seeks papers related to Institutional Ethnographic research that explores education in various contexts: local, national, global; early childhood to university levels. Specifically, papers selected for this session will be based on research that reveals how relations of ruling are impacting students, families, educators, policy-makers, and others in education-related fields.
The session is designed to illustrate the ways in which Institutional Ethnography can show how changes are happening throughout the educational trajectory and across contexts; changes that will affect not only the futures of those who work in education but also those who rely on access, equity, and equal opportunity in education.
