We have witnessed the noticeable growth of informal employment in both advanced and developing economies under the globalizing economies. In this light, the session discusses the trends and causal mechanism of growing informal employment from the international comparative perspective.
The vulnerable working life of informal workers, excluded from the protection of the formal labor market institution, and policy solutions to guarantee inclusive protection for those workers are also discussed.
