Session Type: Oral
Abstract
Global-local relations are very important for understanding of the social processes in the world. There are various influences on these relations. One of them is surely religion. Aim of this session is to show how different religions influence global-local relations, both on different continents and regions of the world. In particular, this session welcomes proposals based on case studies of how religion influences global-local relations. We are also interested in papers exploring this issue from the perspective of theology, and social and political teachings of different religions. Moreover, we aim to gather papers which will explain how religions, which can be at the same time regarded as nationalistic and universal, understand global-local relations. Goal of this session is to offer better understanding of these issues in modern societies. Consequently, it will contribute to the better understandings between religions and social groups, and accordingly, to the preserving of the world peace and religious tolerance.
