It has been regarded as one of the major global competition on students’ learning, teachers’ teaching, and principals’ leadership among the nations. To figure the issue related to students’ learning and performance, Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) conducted The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) since the year of 2000, and then started The Teaching and Learning International Survey (TALIS) to interpret the perspectives from teachers and principals in the year of 2008. PISA highlights students' performance on the competence of reading, math, and science along with global competence since the year of 2018. At the same time, TALIS focuses on the issues on teacher supply and demand, teaching conditions, teacher preparation and development, teaching practices, school leadership and school climate, appraisal and feedback, and teacher self-efficacy. In the year of 2018, OECD started to conduct the PISA and TALIS at the same time and tried to juxtapose the connection between students’ learning, teachers’ teaching, and principals’ leadership. The session hopes to provide a platform to collect the existed TALIS 2018 findings and the feedbacks of international educational policies, and analyze the TALIS 2018 PISA performance through the perspectives of sociology of education including social justice and teaching profession first. Secondly, the session hopes to compare the outcomes between the TALIS 2013 and TALIS 2018 to figure the interaction among students’ learning, teachers’ teaching, and principals’ leadership. Finally, the session hopes to provide some evidence based suggestion for the future educational policies on teacher education and principal leadership.
