Regional differences in growth and advancement of  agriculture  depend on  existing  inequalities  of several factors.  Difference in environment and ecology    contribute structure of regional  agriculture. Farmers of Tropical, Subtropical, sub-Saharan find hard to adopt improved technologies for exploiting higher productivity and economic gain  compared to other  cultivable  areas. Existing social, economic condition,  gender inequality, social taboos  educational  status also  impair regional progress  in agriculture. Government’s farm policies , infrastructural support, export import opportunity , geographic localtion also   generate   regional inequality  in agriculture  advancement.  Democratic wisdom of farmers  growing   crops  also often limited  under neo-liberal  economy . Multinational food and drug market too hinder regional agricultural progress. Global climatic change, bio-emission. soil-water degradation   possesses a  constant threat to  increase regional  disparity  in further  farm progress . However, over the past  decades scientific  and technological  innovations, genetic manipulation of crops, socio-economic intervention, changes  in  infrastructural  support  have brought  down  degree of  regional inequality in agricultural  pro progress to a greater extent. But future challenges  of productivity increase, farm energy, natural and supplemental resource management and overall economic gain need to be re-looked to reduce the inter and intra regional  inequality in agricultural progress.

The  session  aims to identify existing  macro and micro  level social and technological disparities and  evolve  guidelines  to reduce inequalities in global background.
