Art can be a form for social critique, a way to contest reality and contemporaneity. On this line, to which extent can art be a social boost for change? This session is meant to enter sociological theorization of art in order to inquire the potentiality of art to impact society, in either ways of progressive and conservative practices. How can this quality of art be theorized in sociological terms?
