Location:

TG04 Sociology of Risk and Uncertainty (host committee)

Language: English

Session Type: Oral

With COVID-19 a long-time expectation has turned into reality. The world has become a sociological laboratory where we can in real time observe how different social and cultural responses to risk turn into disastrous social realities. This session welcomes papers which contribute to the conceptual understanding of the social construction and responses to COVID-19 in order to work towards a sociology of pandemics. Both empirical work with a conceptual argument as well as purely conceptual papers are welcomed.
