RC52 Sociology of Professional Groups (host committee)

Language: English

Session Type: Oral

Invited Session

The aim of this session is to highlight emerging research in the sociology of professional groups by focusing on early career researchers. Postgraduate, PhD student and Postdoctoral researchers are invited to submit abstracts on any topic within the sociology of professional groups. Presenters will be selected based on submitted abstracts and career stage, with a goal of having a diverse range of research topics and backgrounds.

The session’s goals are for students to present their research at an early stage of their career so that they can make connections with peers and senior researchers and receive feedback on their work. Meeting with peers will help early career researchers in establishing lasting research connections and in facilitating the dialogue between early career researchers and established academics.
