Session Type: Oral

The session is open to the presentation of communications where intergenerational social mobility is studied from the RC28 mainstream perspective in the context of the Latin American countries. Latin America suffers from a high social inequality. The problems associated with the unequal distribution of wealth and social welfare opportunities have a historical character in the region, they are a structural and persistent feature. Contributions that analyse the way in which social inequalities are reproduced over time and between generations are welcome. In particular, we estimate to received contributions with a comparative framework of stratification and social mobility where the patterns of intergenerational reproduction of inequality are analysed among countries.
