This session invites research papers from every part of the world that focus on immigrant or refugee rights.  There is a tendency to dehumanize individuals who enter into different countries illegally as well as legally depending on the circumstances.  Individuals and families face multiple issues.  Specifically, refugee individuals and families face enormous physical and economic hardship during their travel towards a desired destination as well as after they reach it.  Research presentations in any of the dimensions the rich, dynamic and diverse historical trends of human suffering and empowerment globally, and the differences and similarities in their experiences are welcome.  The presentations might explore more than one level of Border-crossings in a theoretical analysis of multidimensional intersectionality, in view of the changing economic and political situations globally.
