Against a backdrop of growing inequality, quests for social justice are premised on calls for recognition and access to a fair distribution of resources. Such claims to full citizenship highlight the entanglement of rights and entitlements, often contested resulting in either inclusion or exclusion. This session invites papers that reflect on social psychological insights of how claiming legitimate  identities intersects with power in the quest to ensure equality and social justice.
