Location:
RC28 Social Stratification (host committee)
Language: English
Session Type: Oral
The session aims to integrate social stratification research with current theoretical models and concepts of human development. Addressing the ISA Forum 2020 themes ‘Inequalities’ and ‘Intersectionality’, we invite contributions that analyse children’s cognitive, socio-emotional, or physiological development from the perspective of social stratification, especially those highlighting the intersection of multiple dimensions of stratification and inequality. We particularly welcome studies of early childhood outcomes using innovative theoretical or methodological approaches with an interdisciplinary view (e.g., sociology, psychology, and health).
