Аccelerated formation of the capitalist system in Russia is one of the key factors of specific development of the labor market and socio-labor relations in the country. Russian people have experienced a lot of social and economic traumas, and despite this find the strength to adapt and develop keeping up with the time. Nowadays Russia faces all the global challenges such as population ageing, digitalization, globalization, urbanization, socio-labor precarization, climate changes etc. simultaneously solving inner problems inherited from transition period (privatization of industrial objects, superiority of carbon and energy industries, social and economic inequality between people of different regions, professions, low trust in institutions etc.).

At the session, we propose to discuss the process of transformation of the Russian labour sphere towards digital economy, its successes and failures in providing quality of employment, special features, possibilities and perspectives of further development under the new technological conditions. We would like to emphasize the problem of balancing between raising labour productivity and humanization of working conditions and processes.
