World wide there have been a concensus about the right to support people with disabilities to participate on equal terms in social activities. But in the last decades this aggrement has slightly been turned into a question of independent living and supporting people to be accepted and included in the labor market. From a system which was oriented towards compensation we are now facing a system focusing on development of resources which are relevant for the inclusion in the labor market. This change involves a heavier individual responsibility laid on people followed by a higher level of stress and a lower level of recognition and mental health. We welcome any contribution which addresses this situation from a historical as well as a resent perspective including any focus on discoursive og structural approaches.
