Since the advent of industrialization, concept of leisure and leisure time have become intertwined in many respects. Leisure time in the beginning of industrialization was characterized by desire for rest and recreation owing to longer working hours. However this conception has changed in the present times. Technological developments have changed the way in which people organize their leisure time. The convenience and accessibility of modern technology has contributed to 'privatizing' of leisure (Tom Sanders). This privatization has been aided by the market forces. Today the leisure industry thrives  on the demand for me-leisure and experiential leisure. Techo-leisure tools have unfolded before the human population the empowering aspect of technology to enhance their quality of life. For sections of society deprived of equal opportunities to leisure time due to constraints of gender,  class, age and other attributes, techno -leisure provides them an opportunity to engage in leisure activities cities in the confines of their social space. The issues of gender, class, age, race and disability would be examined with reference to technology driven leisure and how it impacts the future leisure time activities.
