Language: English

Session Type: Oral

This session showcases studies on social factors experienced throughout the life course that influence the health and well-being of older adults. The goal is to assess the health and well-being consequences of a broad range of social factors to which individuals are exposed from childhood to old age, such as social structures and policies, cultural factors, social relationships, labor-force transitions, and others. Empirical studies that explore heterogeneous effects across social groups and countries and make a theoretical contribution to life-course literature are especially welcomed.
