We understand that there is an important social movement across the world concerned with issues of oppression, discrimination, and racism. These forces effect – directly – bodies (embodiment and corporeality). These bodies are native, black or immigrants’ bodies. How do these human groups organize and build their movements, and (re)signify their bodies in resistance?  With this rationale we are motivated to create a new space for debate in our committee – RC 54 – The Body in the Social Sciences.
