The future of humanity in the 21^st century is at a very crucial juncture when we have to initiate, formulate and further implement various socio-economic strategies which can simultaneously promote sustainable development, social justice, and environmental protection along with satisfying our ever-increasing hunger of energy. The concept of sustainable development at global level needs active participation of state machinery to support key sectors such as energy, transport, water supply, sanitation and forestry so that a conducive environment can be created to ensure the alignment of economic growth with environment protection and social equity.
