The VINA Test (Visual Nature Footprint Test) is a visual analysis tool applied to explore the growing disconnection between youth and nature in urban contexts. Developed within the civic education project in Florence (Italy) this test collects images taken by students and teachers, examining how they perceive and interact with the surrounding natural environment during their daily journeys. The results of the survey are analyzed, highlighting how the use of visual images can offer a deeper perspective on interactions with nature, and how the visual methodology provides new insights into understanding and addressing the extinction of the nature experience as foreseen by Robert Pyle (1993).
