From a spatial sociological perspective, this paper proposes that transparency is a notable modernized spatial phenomenon, while the combination of transparency and space symbolizes a new form of spatial power relations. This paper firstly reviews the history of glass in architecture and explains the meaning of transparency in architecture; secondly, it discusses the production process and purpose of transparency space and the power relations contained in it; finally, it clarifies the process of transparency space's exhibition and landscape formation from the aspects of production of typical, formation of trend and symbolic aggregation. The existence of space is inevitably affected by power relations, and perhaps we can find part of the truth about space through the interpretation of transparent space.
