The paper presents preliminary findings regarding the practice of migrant workers of digital home food delivery platforms in Cataluña (Spain). It aims to begin to fill the knowledge gap that still exists today in the growing field of digital labor platforms studies about the multiple impacts on the health of those who work specifically in home delivery service platforms (Glovo, Just Eat, UberEats, etc.). In this sense, the paper will focus specifically on addressing the health seeking processes that riders are involved in as a consequence of having suffered road accidents while working on the street. Special attention will be paid to the material and social conditions in which immigrants live in the receiving society and the impact of such conditions on the “choice” of their work and on their link with the local health system. Finally, it should be noted that we will use an epistemological approach and a qualitative theoretical-methodological strategy. The data collection techniques I will use include in-depth interviews and participant observation.
