Public Policies and Environmental Disasters in Brazil: Analysis Based on the National Civil Defense and Protection Plan

As in other parts of the world, Brazil has felt the effects of climate change. By 2023, more than 230 million Brazilians have been affected in some way by environmental disasters. Under Critical Discourse Analysis, this article examines 14 public policies from a civil protection and defense plan, recently launched by the government.
