In the session about educational inequalities of refugees, I will shed light on three aspects. One, on the access to higher educational systems and their transition from school to university. Their access to financial aid and scholarships will also be discussed. Two, on the challenges they face in terms of integration and social inclusion within the educational system. Here, the concept of transculturality will be discussed in relation to the experiences of refugee students. The focus will be on how transculturality can impact their academic success and overall well-being. Three key factors will be explored: language proficiency, cultural identity, and access to support services. Three, the future aspirations of young refugees will be demonstrated through their experiences within the education system and beyond. This will provide insight into the potential barriers they may face in achieving their goals and how these can be overcome. Additionally, the role of educators and policymakers in creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for refugee students will be highlighted. The ultimate goal is to ensure that all students, regardless of their background, have equal opportunities to succeed in the education system and beyond.
