This argument arises from the diverse roles that sociologists can assume within the spectrum of basic and applied sociology, emphasizing the importance of engaging in collaborative efforts. The session will specifically highlight Chapter 6, which contextualizes sociology in developing countries to attract those with a clinical focus. While the advancement of sociology as a field of knowledge and social critique is essential, the author contends that the emergence of clinical sociology is crucial for sociologists and students eager to utilize their sociological perspectives as catalysts for social change. Key recommendations will include establishing social clinics and revising existing curricula to better support this shift. The presentation will conclude with the author's insights and experiences regarding the publication process with Springer International, offering reflections on expectations and outcomes.
