The advent of Covid 19 pandemic brought a significant surge in the usage of information technology in education globally and many African countries were not left out. Consequently, schools, especially the higher institutions embraced the idea of online teaching as an antidote to the effect of the pandemic and interestingly, this idea has survived the pandemic era. While many scholars have questioned the effectiveness of the approach considering the peculiar nature of many institutions of higher learning in Africa in terms of infrastructures, others have identified a number of factors necessary for the retention of the approach within our schools.
