The pro-homeschooling advocacy coalition, situated within the morally conservative ‘pro-family’ and ‘anti-gender’ agenda, has thus far garnered limited scholarly attention (Permoser and Stoeckl 2021). Brazil serves as a pertinent case study illustrating how the extreme right has gained traction, supported ideologically by Christian movements and forming a distinctive alliance. This communication intends to contribute to the existing literature on the constellation of anti-gender actors, with a specific emphasis on those advocating for homeschooling. It poses several critical questions: How do these actors contribute to the emerging discourse of the contemporary extreme right? What goals are they pursuing, and in what ways do they mobilize interpretative frameworks? How can one delineate the social conditions of far-right cosmopolitanism, characterized by an interest in international dynamics and the capacity to navigate these arenas? In particular, this article investigates the evolution of the global moral conservative movement by analyzing the transnational dimensions of homeschooling advocacy, with a particular emphasis on its expression in Brazil.
