In 2050, 80% of older people will be living in low and middle- income countries. The pace of population ageing is much faster than in the past. (WHO).Societal ageing can effect economic growth, patterns of work and retirement, the way that families function, the ability of governments and communities to provide adequate resources for older adults and prevalence of chronic diseases and disability.(www.nia.nih.gov).The paper will deal with all aspects of well- being that affects societal ageing. The objective is to find how various forms of well-being are interlinked with societal ageing.
