This study seeks to contribute to a culture of peace by positioning children as active subjects of rights. It aligns with research that explores childhood and children in a globalized world (Tomás et al., 2021) and integrates peace into the field of Social Studies of Childhood (Jiménez-Arenas, 2020b).

Challenging traditional notions of power (Muñoz, 2001), this research demonstrates the coherence between theory and practice (Muñoz, 2001) while emphasizing the "Pacifist Agency" of children (Arenas, 2020b) as active rights holders (Fernandes, 2021). It contributes to the intergenerational construction of a culture of peace.

Adopting a critical and participatory paradigm, the study employed a participatory investigation with children. Research dynamics were designed to transform and share intergenerational power relations (Fernandes & Marchi, 2020).

The findings were unexpected, revealing the dilution of power, empathy, and recognition of others. Children's pacifist agency emerged and significantly transformed. These results suggest that the "art" of "living peace" can be replicated in diverse environments.
