Health hazards and health inequalities are an increasing challenge for numerous population groups worldwide. Many of these problems are exacerbated by climate change and cannot be adequately addressed by existing welfare states, health systems, and other national institutions. Presentations are invited for this session that relate to the connections between climate change, welfare states, health policy, health, and health inequalities in different world regions. Connections between institutional, social, and political dynamics can be taken into account. This includes, among other things, analyzes of the health impact of climate change. Presentatons are invited that focus on relations between climate change, migration, and health. Other contributions may show how climate protection measures can simultaneously protect health. The presentations can relate to local, regional, and national developments or to projects that are initiated by international organizations. While previous studies have primarily analyzed health inequalities within nation states, this session will also focus on global health inequalities.
