The purpose of this session is to understand the situation of migrant children by analyzing the obstacles related to their integration into Moroccan public schools, taking into account their religious and cultural pluralism. Its main objective is to examine the links between school integration and the social assimilation of families with children within Moroccan society. Based on a socio-educational perspective, the session is founded on the hypothesis that the integration of migrant children is facilitated by religious belief. In other words, migrant children of Muslim culture are more integrated into school than those of Christian culture. The families of these children can integrate into the social environment thanks to this religious assimilation. However, the culture of Moroccan schools is different from that of the immigrant minority, which demands a change in the value system from which educational policies derive the values transmitted to the Moroccan educational system. Integrating all students into the school and society requires the presence of cooperative values, whether by students representing the dominant culture or those belonging to the minority group within society, in order to establish a multicultural educational environment and manage cultural diversity.
