Feminist, Decolonial and Digital Approaches to Radical Love: Changing the World from within / Enfoques Feministas, Decoloniales y Digitales De Un Amor Revolucionario: Cambiando El Mundo Desde Adentro
RC32 Women, Gender and Society
Language: English and Spanish
Since the second half of the Twentieth Century, feminist scholars worldwide have centered their own subjugated and oppressed experiences as epistemic points of reference toward the transformation of the world. “Everything is political” has been their motto. This intervention also includes re-envisioning how care and revolutionary love have transformed our practices toward creating innovative approaches to research, promoting grassroots political activism, and envisioning new and radical social conceptualizations about liberation and emancipation. Love has become a point of departure and arrival for many radical feminist scholars. This panel opens a space to showcase the empirical legacies, theorizations, evolutions, and intellectual contributions of the discussion of radical love promoted, inspired, or created by contemporary feminist intellectuals and their social movements/networks. This is a space for envisioning and enacting a new academic world defined by mutual care, including the emergence of digital and AI venues for transformation and imagining a different world.
