RC28 Social Stratification (host committee)

Previous studies of social stratification have focused on figuring out the mechanisms

behind the pattern and degree of stratification in society. The pattern and degree of social

mobility are two of the major ways to measure social stratification. However, now, I would

like to emphasize that it becomes more important to examine how to transform various

empirical analyses into utilizing the reduction of social inequality and the social gap. In

this session, I would like to call papers to discuss justice across generations from a social

stratification perspective. We also explore how we can generate justice from an empirical

perspective
