Young People and Emotions in Actions. the Role of Emotions in Prosocial Behaviours Among the Young Generations
Language: English and Spanish
This session aims to investigate the emotions that facilitate or hinder action among young people, including altruism, cooperation, empathy and engaging in volunteering. It will showcase work on how emotions shape social relationships, including supporting prosocial behaviours and expressions of social love on the one hand and isolation or rivalry on the other.
We invite presentations that address these areas from the standpoint of the social and cultural contexts influence and are in turn shaped by these emotional dynamics, including family, school, and community environments. We also welcome presentations that offer practical insights, contributing to a deeper understanding of how emotions can foster a more inclusive, compassionate, and equitable world.
