Big Data Analysis and Decision Making

Friday, 11 July 2025: 13:00-14:45
Location: FSE024 (Faculty of Education Sciences (FSE))
RC45 Rational Choice (host committee)

Language: English

The analysis of digital traces—big data—recording people's actions, interactions, and communication has enabled us to focus on micro-level human behavior that was previously impossible to examine in traditional sociology. By leveraging big data along with computational methods such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, we now have an unprecedented opportunity to empirically analyze human behavior and decision-making.

This session invites research that employs computational social science techniques, particularly big data analysis, to uncover the mechanisms behind human decision-making and actions. We are interested in studies that explore various aspects of human behavior through the lens of big data, offering new insights and advancing our understanding of social dynamics.
