In 2025, the global community will mark the 30th anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women and adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action. What have been the main advances in women's and LGBTQ+ human rights implemented since then? What have been the main advances in policies to promote gender equality? And what have the setbacks been? The purpose of this session is to promote a general assessment of women's and LGBTQ+ human rights and reflect on the challenges involved in the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and its Goals from a transversal and intersectional gender perspective
