Work & Employment - Authors Meet Critics Session

Tuesday, 8 July 2025: 15:00-16:45
Location: ASJE020 (Annex of the Faculty of Legal, Economic, and Social Sciences)
RC30 Sociology of Work (host committee)

Language: English

This session aims to bring together the authors of newly published books on the most pressing issues in the modern world of work, or original methodologies used in current work and employment research. We invite speakers to submit an abstract for their book in English, although the book itself may be written in another language.

We will select three or four books to present and discuss at the session. It is expected that we will follow one of the following criteria in selecting books: 1) several books that share a similar subject or research methodology; 2) books relevant to the main theme of the forum; 3) books addressing the most significant issues in the current world of work.

Please note that the Fifth International Sociological Association (ISA) Forum will be held in a full-time format only, so when submitting applications, please consider the possibility of attending in person.
