Regimes of knowledge production are constantly evolving, and extensive research has been published to capture the nuances of this transformation across diverse cultural, political, and socio-economic contexts. Fields such as the Sociology of Scientific Knowledge, Science Studies, Science, Technology & Society (STS), and Studies of Expertise and Experience have significantly advanced our understanding of the social dynamics of knowledge production and scientific systems. This session, as part of the 2025 ISA Forum of Sociology, aims to convene sociological studies on scientific knowledge, technology, and expertise. The primary objective is to discuss new theories, methodologies, and emerging trends in the social studies of science, technology, and expertise within contemporary societies. Research addressing multidisciplinary approaches to new knowledge and technologies and their implications in society is welcome. The panel invites, but is not limited to, socio-technical, techno-political, and philosophical interpretations of emerging technologies in areas such as biotechnology, human-computer collaboration, automation, digital health, reproductive technologies, sustainable materials, and climate change
