Language: English

The interest in studying the future has been actualized during periods when socio-political contradictions have become aggravated, when uncertainty is stemmed from the numerous uncontrolled information streams, which shape the images of the surrounding world in the context of different civilizational paradigms. Due to these facts individuals feel an additional need in self-identification and gaining the sense of belonging to various communities determinated their place both at the local and global levels.

The idea of an optimal or ideal future is becoming an important element in the construction of social relations in the present. At the same time, the discourse of the future can generate ugly social phenomena - crisis worldviews of an eschatological nature, speculations on the search for the meaning of life and history, creatin utopian projects.

To understand the prospects and dynamics of social development, especially in crisis conditions of global uncertainty, it seems productive to study issues related to constructing an image of the future, which can be changed under the influence of external and internal factors.

We are waiting papers focused on the analyzing dynamic of public consciousness related to the future of nations, states and global civil society. In particular, to the political component of the image of the future, in which people's ideas about the development of the political system, the state, political institutions and civil society at the national and global levels occupy a dominant place.
