This special panel is an avenue for graduate students to share their dissertation projects in areas related to the social scientific study of religion. This panel will focus on dissertations in progress, meaning that while panelists will be expected to have completed some of their research, the panel is meant to help panelists further sharpen the focus and trajectory of their projects. Rather than presenting a stand-alone chapter or idea stemming from their dissertation, the goal of this panel is for graduate students to discuss their research projects and its findings in general and receive robust feedback on their work. All graduate students selected to join this panel will have time to share their research projects, after which they will receive constructive feedback from the audience in an interdisciplinary setting. The goal for this panel is for the panelists and audience to have a productive conversation about the methods and theories presented as well as the process of writing dissertations and managing big research projects. To be considered for this panel, please submit an abstract of your dissertation. We strongly encourage you to seize this opportunity to share and receive constructive feedback on your project!
