Cyberviolence against women and girls is a growing and concerning phenomenon that reflects and amplifies the gender inequalities present in society. This type of violence can manifest in various forms in the digital space, ranging from harassment and intimidation to exploitation and surveillance. Cyberviolence against women and girls is a reflection and mirror of the discrimination and gender inequality that persists in our society.

In this session, we encourage participation from researchers working on different forms of cyberviolence and their impacts.

  • Studies on the different forms of Cyberviolence such as online harassment, cyberstalking, dissemination of non-consensual intimate images, revenge porn, sextortion, online hate speech and misogyny, doxxing attacks, and identity theft.
  • Delving into the analysis of the impact of cyberviolence, including psychological effects, social effects, economic effects, and finally physical effects.
  • Development of cyberviolence prevention strategies: education and awareness, prevention, legislation and public policies, victim resources, and technology for protection through effective reporting and blocking systems on digital platforms.
  • Comparative studies of Cyberviolence.

We look forward to your contributions.
