Highlighting a variety of critical issues in disaster preparedness and resilience, this session appeals to the mandates of UNESCO and the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction. These frameworks emphasize the importance of integrating community programs and perspectives to build a culture of safety and resilience. We invite research on a variety of disaster-related topics. Additionally, we welcome studies on the sociocultural factors, the use of digital tools, and the assessment of public awareness campaigns. This session aims to foster a comprehensive research agenda, bridging sociological insights with practical applied strategies to enhance disaster preparedness and resilience.
