This session discusses contradictions of social policies in the Anthropocene. Social policies to be discussed include Universal Basic Income (UBI) and Basic Income (BI). UBI is defined as a universal income that is unconditionally received by the people of a country or state. It has been implemented in a few countries. BI is conditional income that is received during a period of time by some people of a country or state, conditioned to different requirements. The BI has been implemented in many countries. Contradictions between these and other social policies will be discussed in the Anthropocene. Theoretical and empirical research will be evaluated for presentation.
