Violence and Society: Part II

Women and children are recognized to be among the most vulnerable groups, with varying identities compounding their risk of violence, including sexual and gendered violence, domestic violence and sex trafficking. Representing various countries including Africa, France, India, Mexico, and Peru, the papers in this session address the violence experienced by women, youth, and children related to, or stemming from, various contexts such as prostitution, illicit drug markets, state violence, technology, as well as impacts of such violence on health outcomes.
