This session solicits papers which discuss how intergenerational relations in various aspects have changed or remained stable following the aging of population commonly found in advanced industrial nations. Possible topics include intergenerational transfer of care and economic resources, intergenerational inheritance of socio-economic capital, and intergenerational mobility of social status and wealth.
