Certification Demonstration

RC46 Clinical Sociology (host committee)

The Certified Clinical Sociologist designation is awarded by the Association for Applied and Clinical Sociology (AACS) to experienced professional sociological practitioners. The certified demonstration is scheduled after an applicant has completed a portfolio which is reviewed by a certification committee. The applicant prepares a 45-minute formal presentation that demonstrates her/his competency as a clinical sociologist before an audience of peers, including Certification Reviewers. During the demonstration the applicant clarifies an area of specialization and makes explicit theoretical and methodological approaches which inform her/his clinical intervention.
