The purpose of this session is to provide a forum for students active in disaster social science research to present and receive feedback on their scholarly works. Graduate students from various disciplines will be invited to present their thesis or dissertation research and receive feedback from participating members of Research Committee-39. The session will be organized to provide an opportunity for emerging disaster social scientists to formally participate in the meeting so that they may bolster their ability to continue their work as they attempt to enter the scholarly and / or practice professions. It provides an opportunity for scholars new and old to network and receive or provide valuable feedback and updates.
