Data from prospective studies on chronic disease progression and all-cause or specific mortality are becoming increasingly important in population and epidemiological research, medical sociology, and aging. This session aims to explore novel analyses resulting from cohort studies that explore population health and mortality over an extended period of time. Population-based studies that focus on the longitudinal association between the onset of chronic disease and its progression and/or mortality over time, especially as these may be differently affected by residential location, race and ethnicity, income, occupation, and gender are welcomed. Among these, those that explore place or work exposure on the onset or progression of chronic diseases or death are especially welcomed.
